Another day another dollar!

Still feeling anxious about my proposed move to Scotland, but if you never try you never do anything!  Got to do it!

Looking for a new puppy to ease the pain! And go for walks to help us keep fit!

Money looks like going through! Will be a bit tight for a bit but what’s the use leaving it in the bank to gain nothing! This govenment doesn’t seem to want the little man to get ahead, if you want to have another house 3% is added to the price in land tax! And only if you sell one of the houses in 18 months do you get this back !

May have house for holiday rental could be a plan!

Changing isn’t easy after retiring!

After working 44 years in the NHS as a nurse! Something I’m proud of but now at 65 time for a change!

It’s not easy changing the direction of your life! Some people think at this age you should be content and sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labour, but no!! I think it’s a New chapter to start and I need places to visit, fresh air and new friends, but where do you start?

For the past eight years I,ve been holidaying in Scotland, I love the coastline, don’t mind the weather and the people are so nice and welcoming, would love to retire there but how!

Research has learnt me that the property laws for buying are different to England , much tighter and quicker to go through but assumes you have money upfront to buy without selling the property you now reside in, this makes it a little difficult to do, assuming you have the cash you will end up with two properties for a while in many cases. Something to consider unless you sell up the first house, rent and then buy your ideal home after moving up to your favourite place.

Something to think about!

To be continued!
